Today’s guest is Catholic theologian and author of Witness to Hope: The Biography of John Paul II, George Weigel. Brett & George discuss George’s thoughts and critiques on the Synod of Synodality & his writing process of his over 30 books. They also dive into the importance of leaders to be precise in the words they use, Catholic institutions being missionaries of the Church, the presence of “Catholic lite” (a term he coined in his book “Evangelical Catholic”) in the Church today, and a young Karol Wojtyla’s role in Vatican II. It’s an intriguing and well-rounded conversation with one of the most highly respected Catholics of our time.
