Every second week, we release a new podcast. The podcast is called, Way of the Heart. It’s intended for an audience of men, but everyone can benefit. Below is an overview of the latest episode. You can get the new episode here.

Diamonds are forged deep within the earth’s crust. Fashioned in places characterized by intense heat, pressure and darkness. Diamonds are forged through adversity, difficulty and overwhelming circumstances. Once polished, those diamonds are resilient and tough. They are also beautiful and often given as gifts to others.

Every man is on a journey of maturity, fathered by God, becoming whom He was created to be. Men are like diamonds. God forges men through hardship, difficulty and struggle – something I call the diamond life. The obstacles, difficulties and adversities we try to get rid of from our life, are often those things God is using to create something beautiful in our soul.

After discussing how the foundation for maturity is trust in God’s heart and reliance on His grace, Jake and I discuss how God often matures us through adversity. We conclude the episode with some practical’s suggestions for how to better face adversity.
